Wedding Guest Style: What I Wore

Well, it's certainly been a while. Over the past few months, I've really gotten out of the habit of blogging (...obviously). Work gets crazy, and then travelling, married life, laundry... it all begins to pile up, and of course it's only natural to let the less urgent pastimes slide down the to-do list. But I've been receiving messages recently, and even meeting in person, online friends from the years when this space was called "chicheroin.blogspot.com" (yes, truly), and I've been reminded of the pre-Instagram community that was forged during the early blogging days. I know that time has passed; our attention spans are shorter, and smartphones have made it easier for anyone to be a blogger, or a microblogger, or not even need a blog at all - and this is a good thing. But I guess what I'm saying is, I was reminded where I came from - literally... I owe my career to this little blog. So I guess from time to time, for nostalgia's sake, I'm going to try to populate this space at an irregular (though hopefully slightly more frequent) pace.

My brother-in-law married his beautiful new wife at the Guild Inn Estate this past weekend. I snuck away mid-cocktails to snap a few photos on the gorgeous grounds. I wore an Alice McCall dress (thank you Net-a-Porter sale!), my wedding clutch, vintage earrings and a pair of under $50 velvet sandals I bought two days before the event.

"But first, let me take a selfie"

Dress: Alice McCall (available secondhand here)
Clutch: Edie Parker
Earrings: Vintage via Magwood
Sandals: Pleaser [Ed Note: Two days before the wedding, I tried to find a pair of velvet sandals as similar to Gianvito Rossi's Portofino heels as I could. At the time, I purchased these though Amazon Prime, and was not aware of the brand name, nor that the label is favoured by, how shall I put this? Exotic dancers.]
