On another note, as I'm sure all my fellow Canadians feel, this has been a tough week. What happened in Ottawa on Wednesday morning was shocking and saddening. I still can't quite believe that a violent attack like that took place in such a peaceful nation. Out of a day of chaos, though, comes a feeling of being even more patriotic than I knew I was, and even more bonded to my fellow nationals. I am reminded, especially at a time when there is an important mayoral election in Toronto, and political posturing happening between parties on a Federal level, that despite our differences - politically, religiously, or otherwise - fundamentally, we have more that binds us together than not. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Cpl. Nathan Cirillo.
