I've been getting a lot of emails and Formspring questions lately about what I'm wearing now that fall is (sadly) here, and rather than answer them all, I thought I'd save time by posting about it here. The truth is that I've been incredibly busy lately, so my dressing has had to become very formulaic. Style is important, but warmth and practicality are also key. My base is really just jeans, comfortable shoes, a tote and a sweater - sounds boring right? I don't think so. My jeans are always printed and patterned, my knits luxe and cozy, and my shoes are never basic - whether they be flats with a rich colour and fabric like the Jenni Kayne's below, or suede wedges like the Isabel Marants (are wedges not God's gift to women? They give the same leg-lengthening effect as heels without being mercilessly uncomfortable.) Ultimately, accessories are what turns a blah outfit into something really stylish. I like to wear a big statement necklace or a wide brimmed hat (or both!) to pull the look together.
