The Clash

I am completely aware that these prints do not match, and yet... they're my favourite combination right now. My apartment is relatively small, really only holding my bed, tv and kitchen, and then a large closet and multiple hanging racks. When one of the producers from Much Music came over, she asked "Do you ever feel like you're living in a show room??". I definitely do, but I can't think of any place I'd rather live. I'm surrounded at all times by beautiful clothing, and that makes getting dressed much easier. That is, until two seemingly opposite patterns are hung next to eachother... At first, they clash so badly that I keep reminding myself to rearrange things so these patterns wouldn't be beside one another... but slowly, the pairing starts to grow on you, to the point where it actually looks good. This is the ultimate example of how that happens. I don't know, am I crazy? What do you think?
By the way - I am now on Instagram after (finally) upgrading my phone to a Samsung Galaxy SIII. Follow me @lizcvclark. (Here's a link to it if that makes things easier.) Let me know of any other Instagram accounts I should be following too!

Wearing: Zara top (similar shirts here and here), Topshop pants (similar pair here), Aurelie Bidermann bracelet (other versions available here and here) and Stuart Weitzman heels (available here, with similar styles here, and here)

  1. You look lovely. Indeed is a match most people wouldn't dare to try but it does look good. Besides its great to take a risk once in a while and see what comes out of it. In this case a really cool outfit.
