Happy Monday! After working late a couple nights last week (till past midnight on Friday!), I took it a bit easy this weekend. This week I'm gearing up for a few days of photoshoots, followed by a much needed long weekend - I'm so looking forward to it. I can't believe that this coming weekend marks the one month mark before I'm off to Oxford. I don't know how I'm going to get it all done in time.

mmva's party

On Sunday night I went to the MMVA's (Much Music Video Awards) party with my best friend Anna. The show itself was hosted by Selena Gomez and had attendees like Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, and Drake. Anna and I attended the VIP party backstage, which was so much fun. I didn't want to be that girl, taking photos around all the execs. and Canadian celebrities (if you can call them that), but we had a great time, ate a million hors d'oeuvres and met some really cool people

birthday #22

First off, I want to thank everyone for all the lovely birthday emails/tweets/formspring messages/comments. It meant so much to hear from so many of you! A few of you asked to see photos of my birthday dress, so I thought I'd post a few pictures from my party this past weekend. I spent the day getting my makeup and hair done (which I came home immediately and took down before going out - I can't stand when other people do my hair, it never looks right) and shopping with my friend Dani. The evening was spent with my four best friends, eating some of my favourite foods (macarons, peking duck, cupcakes) and drinking pitchers of cold infused teas (my favourite is green tea with rasberry vodka and peach schnapps) at friend's houses, Spice Route and Beaconsfield. It was such a great day.

prince of wales

These photos were taken at the Prince of Wales hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake a few days ago. We spent an afternoon shopping and enjoying the sunshine. It was my birthday this past Monday! I can't believe I'm twenty-two... the age I've always thought marked true "grown up-ness", which really couldn't be less the case. My party is this weekend and I'm really excited for it.
